In need of a muse

I am a hoarder by nature, I hate to throw anything away that may still be useful. So the plan for "A Vampire's Revenge" is now to shelve it and start a new project, possibly on a completely different subject. Perhaps I'll finish "A Vampire's Revenge" sometime in the future, perhaps not. So now all I need are some ideas for storylines.

In the meantime I'll be practising with my graphics programs, trying to perfect a method of producing acceptable book covers. If you'd like to help with the cover art or proof-reading just send me an email, volunteers are always welcome.

Writing or the lack of it!

Since before Christmas I have undergone a kind of mid-life crisis. Suffice to say my marital status is now "separated". During this time my writing came to a sudden but total full stop while I sorted out little things like finding a flat, moving, settling in, setting it up, paying the bills and surviving!

I am hoping to start writing again soon but I don't know about "A Vampire's Revenge". I may pick it up where I left off or I may scrap it altogether and start something completely different. I haven't decided yet.

A Vampire's Revenge

Now that Blog Erotica 2 has been published I am free to concentrate on the next epic, the long awaited sequel to They Shall Not Sleep By Night. The new book has been assigned the working title "A Vampire's Revenge". Work has begun on developing the plotlines which are evolving slowly as new ideas occur to me. I will also be producing the cover art for the book. I hope to have the cover illustrations completed within a week and will then be able to concentrate on the story.

It became apparent that my web host the servers that keep my web pages on the web, was having troubles. Rather than wait for my website to disappear altogether I began searching for a new provider and I think I have found an EXCELLENT one here! Of course changing web hosts is not a task to be undertaken lightly, it usually involves a great deal of effort and this time was no exception. Web pages had to be edited so they would display correctly on the new host. Services such as guestbooks, counters and comment (tag) boxes had to be made aware of the site's new URL (address). All the other websites referring or linking to this one (Lulu, Cafe Boudoir etc.) also required editing to reflect the new address. The site also required uploading to the new host and testing. My business cards needed editing and re-issuing to all the websites where they are shown as well as to all the individuals who carry them. All this kept me away from working on the new book but thankfully it has now been done and hopefully I can progress well with A Vampire's Revenge.

Blog Erotica 2

I began my new career as an aspiring author by writing short erotic passages and posting them as blog entries. That experience and the feedback I received from readers led to the publication of my first book, Blog Erotica. After it was published I set about writing my first novel but I continued blogging and collecting the entries I wrote. Now I have enough ideas to complete Blog Erotica 2.

I am hoping to complete this book of "shorts" and publish it through Lulu.com in the next three to four weeks. Initially it will be on sale exclusively from the Lulu website, available as a paperback book or a downloadable (.pdf format) e-book. Then I will be able to devote my writing time to the development of a new novel.

Current Situation

I have been away from writing for too long. Snowed under with other projects, working for a living and trying to promote my books for the past months, I have not been working on my next novel, the sequel to They Shall Not Sleep By Night. Now it's time to start work on the book again.

The main plot is extremely simple and requires very little work. The first sub-plot is also very simple but not so clearly pre-defined so will need some time to develop. The second sub-plot is currently little more than an idea which will take a lot of time and effort to develop because it will be an entirely different storyline. When the three plotlines are clearly defined I can work on the relationships between them, crossover and meeting points all mapped out under a common timeline.

When that is done I can think about the content of each chapter and when that stage is complete I can begin writing the book.
